Postcards from Istanbul

I woke up this morning to howling wind and rain splattering against the windows of my flat… I think summer in Northern Europe is officially over! So I decided it was time to publish a few photographs from my five day trip to Istanbul in July, where it was sizzling hot with endless sunshine and azure blue skies. Looking at these photographs makes me warmer and happier!

There will be a longer, more comprehensive post coming soon, so please stay tuned!

Love all the colors and patterns I see in your photos!
I’m curious to know what kind of food/sauce it is in the photo where the guy is mixing something in that circular tray divided into five compartments. I haven’t seen something like that before, is it a type of street food there in Istanbul?

Hi Kim! thank you, and I believe he is making different types of candy! I did not try it this time, but would love to when I come across it next!
