Postcards from Kyoto

I am back home after over three weeks of travelling, so now it is time to edit my 10,000 photos (or thereabouts), and write a few great posts – I think my favourite will be about my stay at the Park Hyatt, also known as “that hotel from the Lost In Translation movie”.

In the meantime, here are a few of my favourite pictures from my three-day visit to Kyoto, a wonderful and somewhat very tranquil, despite being a large city, place. I really think that one needs at least a week for explore Kyoto, as I feel I barely scratched the surface. And my favourite activity whilst out there? Dressing up as a meiko! More on the blog soon.

What a unique place! I’ve never even remotely been to Asia before, so these photos look to me like they were taking in another world!

  2. Stunning pictures, and I’m incredibly jealous! The colours are incredibly striking.

I’m intrigued by the Hello Kitty tea. 🙂

  3. That hike looks absolutely incredible. What a view! I can’t decide which is more appealing right now — the hike, or the sashimi, mmmm….

  4. I love the traditional dress and cherry blossoms! Wonderful travel blog!!
