Missing New York City Already…

Missing New York City Already…

Just came back home from New York and missing it like crazy already… It is the city I like best in the whole wide world; my eight visits (so far) attest to the fact that I am completely head over hills in love with it!

I am currently working on my mini guide to Manhattan; in the meantime, just a few highlights from my last visit:

1. I revisited Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, the first touristy thing that I did on my first ever trip to New York at the age of 17 with Global Young Leaders Conference nine years ago. Such a wonderfully nostalgic outing… very touristy, I know, but it is so incredibly enjoyable, it is definitely worth it!

2. I finally made it to Katz’s Delicatessesn to try the pastrami on rye made famous by THAT scene from Harry Met Sally.

3. I found my new favourite coffee shop: Vita Caffe on Ludlow St in Lower East Side. BEST. COFFEE. EVER. Since I am an absolute coffee addict, this made me very happy!

4. Speaking of Lower East Side, I finally spent a decent amount of time exploring this area, since I stayed here for the latter part of my sojourn in Manhattan. If I move to New York, this is where I would live, which shows just how much I like it!

5. I went to see an amazing and fun retrospective exhibition on the king of contemporary art Jeff Koons at the Whitney Museum. Apparently it is coming to Paris, so please go and see it if you have a chance!
