Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia: can someone please take me back there?


If paradise exists, it surely ought to look like this!

Blue Mountains is a mountainous region in close proximity to Sydney, so if you are ever contemplating visiting Sydney, make sure to allocate at least a couple of days to this spectacular place.

Blue Mountains gets its name form the bluish-green haze that is constantly hanging over the mountains. This haze results from a fine mist of oil produced by copious eucalyptus trees, which form the dense, almost impenetrable, canopy that covers this mountainous landscape as far as the eye can see…

I stayed at the Echoes Boutique Hotel and Spa, perched on the very edge of the Jameson Valley at Echo Point. That hotel offers truly mind-blowing panoramic views of the valley sprawling in front of the hotel. Just look at the photo below: that was my daily breakfast spot! Paradise indeed!
